Q: What are cookie cutter stamps?

A: A cookie cutter stamp is a tool that presses a design or text into the cookie. The stamp allows you to easily add patterns, textures, or lettering to your cookies before or after cutting the design out. In some of our cutter designs, the stamp is built into the cutter, cutting and stamping the design at the same time, while others (the majority) are separate. We generally lean towards creating models that are separate, giving greater flexibility in cookie designing/decorating (some may not want the stamped impression, but like the shape of the cutout).

 

Q: What makes these cookie cutters eco-friendly?

A: Our cookie cutters are handmade in the USA using plant-based, biodegradable, and recyclable materials derived from corn, tapioca roots, and sugarcane. They are a sustainable alternative to traditional plastics, reducing your environmental footprint while baking.

 

Q: What is the depth of the cookie cutters?

A: Each cutter is 16mm deep, while each stamp (the design/embossed portion) is 7mm (the impression is 3mm deep), providing consistent shapes and patterns every time.

 

Q: Are these cookie cutters dishwasher safe?

A: No, we recommend washing them with warm soapy water. To increase our food safety, we use a technique called “ironing” to seal the raised portion (imprint) of our cookie cutter stamps, which makes it more difficult for bacteria to get inside, keeping them cleaner and safer for repeated use. Many of our competitors do not iron their stamps, as it adds extra time and wear and tear on the machines.

 

Q: How does creating my own size cookie cutter work?

A: When customizing your own cookie cutter, you choose the longest side of the cutter. The shorter side scales proportionately to maintain the shape’s original proportions. The cutters will be approximately 1/2" larger than the size requested to accommodate the handles. If you would like to know how large the shorter size will be, you can send us a quick chat and we will provide the measurement for you.

 

Q: Can I get custom text on a cookie cutter stamp?

A: Unfortunately, Shopify doesn’t currently support custom text for stamps. However, over at our Etsy store you can select custom text for your cookie cutter stamps. After choosing a design, choose the "Custom Text Stamp" option, and write in your text, double checking that everything is spelled correctly. The original details of the stamp will be removed and replaced with your text and/or numbers, centered and in Arial font. A 3D preview image will be provided to you before creation so that you can approve or give feedback - the finished product will be created immediately after approval or 24 hours after purchase.

 

Q: Can I get these cookie cutters in a set?

A: Sets are available at our Etsy and eBay stores. Right now, Shopify is limited to single, custom cookie cutters, but we hope to expand set options here later this year or the second half of 2026.

 

Q: Do you offer gift wrapping?

A: By default, we provide a reusable organza bag for each cookie cutter purchased. If requested in the special order instructions at checkout, we can arrange the cookie cutters into sets and use larger organza bags for the set to fit in. We only ask that you provide clear instructions when making any special request to prevent a misunderstanding. We do not offer any alternative gift wrapping services at this time, although we may add that ability in the future. We have received lots of feedback complimenting our sustainable organza bags, however, so we think you'll find them a perfectly acceptable gift wrapping on their own.

 

Q: Can I request a custom cookie cutter?

A: We currently do not have a formal custom cookie cutter option. However, if you send us a 2D image or describe the shape you’d like, we may decide to create that cookie cutter to sell and will send you a direct link to purchase (Please note that we cannot produce offensive or copyrighted designs).

 

Q: How long until my cookie cutters ship?

A: Most orders ship within 24 business hours. Larger or bulk orders may take up to 3 business days to ship. If you like, you may use the Chat feature on the lower right corner and check with us for a more accurate waiting time. We recommend doing this for last minute gifts or any orders that need to arrive by certain dates.

 

Q: Do you offer refunds?

A: Since all of our products are handmade and unique, we do not offer refunds. However, if you’re unhappy with your order, please reach out to us, and we’ll do our best to help. For damaged/defective items, please check out our refund policy for more details.
